If long-term free text conversation is a non-negotiable requirement, that distinction points toward checking Replika first. If detailed paid character tools are the priority, Kindroid remains a candidate, but budget for the continuing subscription.

Which memory system is relevant?

Kindroid publishes multiple memory layers and additional capabilities at higher tiers. Replika’s Ultra materials describe enhanced conversation and saved-memory tools, with other premium differences above Pro.
